A Neutral Grounding Resistor is an equipment that provides protection to a transformer \/ generator solving the problem of transient overvoltages, thus reducing damage to people and equipment.<\/p>

Grounding resistance will save money and personal risk by reducing the magnitude of transient overvoltages due to ground faults (line-to-ground, phase-to-phase or three-phase).<\/p>

  • Construction<\/li><\/ul>

    The basic characteristics of a good grounding installation are:<\/p>

    • Provide a low impedance path to ground.<\/li>
    • Withstand and dissipate repeated fault and short-circuit currents or lightning strikes.<\/li>
    • Be sufficiently resistant to corrosion to ensure performance throughout the life of the equipment to be protected.<\/li><\/ul>

      KLK-WELD Team<\/strong><\/h4>

      The KLK-WELD is light and portable, does not require any external power source and is therefore suitable for use in the field and does not require specialized personnel to achieve optimal electrical connections and high mechanical quality in a very short time.<\/p>

      KLK-WELD procedure<\/strong><\/h4>

      The KLK-WELD process takes advantage of the high temperature that develops in the reaction caused by the reduction of copper oxide by aluminum. The reaction takes place inside a graphite crucible mold, into which the parts to be welded have been previously introduced; the metal resulting from the aluminothermic reaction, in a molten state, flows over them, melting them and forming a compact and homogeneous mass.<\/p>

      The reaction is very fast and therefore the parts to be welded acquire, in the area surrounding the welding point, a temperature much lower than that obtained using the usual procedures, a very important factor when it comes to protecting the insulation of the cable or the physical characteristics of the materials to be welded. KLK-WELD welding can be used not only for copper-to-copper welding, but also for steel-to-copper welding, etc.
      The KLK-WELD connection is a perfect molecular solder and not a mere mechanical contact. The alloy used has a melting temperature almost equal to that of copper and generally has a cross-section approximately twice that of the conductors to be soldered, so that:<\/p>

      • Overloads or short-circuit currents do not affect the connection and tests have shown that the conductors melt before the solder.<\/li>
      • The conductivity of the connection is at least equal to or greater than that of the bonded conductors.<\/li>
      • There is no possibility of galvanic corrosion, since the conductors are integrated in the connection itself.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
